Cracked wheat is a versatile product. It is red wheat that has been cracked. It is not to be confused with Bulgur wheat. Cracked wheat can be cooked for a nice hot cereal for morning. This can also be used to add texture to your homemade rolls and breads. This is a must have for your long term food storage.

Shelf Life: Should be stored in cool dark place- optimum condition is 60 degrees or less- for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store 15-20 years. Bulk products need to be repackaged for long term storage.

Directions: For cooked cereal, add 1/3 cup cracked wheat to 2/3 cup water or milk. Salt, honey or sugar may be added. Simmer until tender, about 30 minutes. May also be added to bread and roll dough. Soak in hot water to help tenderize before adding to dough.
