Our dehydrated potato flakes are a versatile product.  These potatoes can be used to make many different flavors of potatoes such as butter, garlic flavor or cheesy potatoes.  The flavors are up to you.  Potato flakes are great for thickening soups and gravies.  Potato flakes are great for making potato pancakes, potato bread and rolls, and gnoochi.  There are so many possiblities that you can do with potato flakes besides mashed potatoes and gravy.  This is a necessity for your long term food storage. 

Ingredients:  Potato (dry), mono- and diglycerides, sodium pyrophosphates acid, citric acid, sodium pyrosulphite, turmeric. This product is non-GMO.

Shelf life estimates are based on industry studies from sources deemed reputable. Since Rainy Day Foods has no control over individual storage practices, they must disclaim any liability or warranty for particular results.

Shelf Life:  Should be stored in cool dark place- optimum condition is 60 degrees or less- for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store up to 15-20 years. Bulk products need to be repackaged for long term storage.

Directions: For 4 2/3 cup prepared servings:  Combine 1/2 tsp salt, 1 Tbsp. butter, 1/2 cup cold milk and 1 1/2 cups boiling water.  Add 1 1/3 cups potato flakes.  Stir gently with fork to moisten, DO NOT WHIP!  Let stand for one minute, then stir gently again.  Serve with butter, gravy, or sour cream for desired flavor.  NOTE:  for creamier mashed potatoes, stir in additional hot water or milk.
