This mixture of different color split peas, rice, lentils, and abc macaroni is a great starter of a soup base. This mix only gets better as you add your own vegetables, meats and spices. ABC soup mix is great for when the weather starts to turn cold and you want something warm and comforting to make. It is great for using left over roasts, chicken, and pork meat.Throw in your favorite root vegtables. Add your own mix of spices to give it some heat or the comfort flavor of home. This is great to use for your family's dinner meal rotation. This is also a wonderful product to store long term for family emergency food storage!

Ingredients: Green split peas, yellow split peas, enriched rice [rice, niacin, iron (ferric orthophosphate), thiamine mononitrate], pearl barley, enriched macaroni product [flour, niachin, iron (ferrous sulfate), thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin], lentils.

Details

A delicious soup mix containing green split peas, yellow split peas, rice, pearl barley, ABC pasta, and lentils. Just add your own seasoning, meat and vegetables to make it the way you like it. Delicious hot soup for those cold winter days!

Note: Due to elevation and/or temperature changes, buckets may be concave or convex upon arrival, normally this is not a problem. Buckets may be reshaped by removing lid, reshaping bucket and then replacing the lid. Product is not compromised since it is protected by the mylar bag.

Shelf life estimates are based on industry studies from sources deemed reputable. Since Rainy Day Foods has no control over individual storage practices, they must disclaim any liability or warranty for particular results.

Shelf Life: Should be stored in cool dark place- optimum condition is 60 degrees or less- for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store up to 20 years. Bulk products need to be repackaged for long term storage.

Nutritional Information	Directions: Rinse and sort 1 1/2 cups soup mix. Add to 2 quarts seasoned stock made from chicken, beef, ham or other meat. Chopped vegetables may be added if desired. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 90 minutes or until tender. Season as desired and serve.
