Shelf life estimates are based on industry studies from sources deemed reputable. Since Rainy Day Foods has no control over individual storage practices, they must disclaim any liability or warranty for particular results.

Shelf Life:  Should be stored in cool dark place- optimum condition is 60 degrees or less- for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store up to 10-15 years. Bulk products need to be repackaged for long term storage.

Directions:  Instant Tender-Jel®C is a food starch that thickens food instantly without cooking. It resembles cornstarch and the results are similar. Add 1 Tbsp jel slowly to 1/2 cup hot or cold liquid using a wire whisk. Stir until smooth. Allow 10 minutes for cold liquids to reach maximum thickness. To use as a starch with dry ingredients in recipes: mix with dry ingredients before adding liquid where possible at a 4 to 1 ratio (dries to starch). It can also be mixed with oil in recipes at a 3 to 2 ratio (oil to starch). Stir the starch portion while water is added to ensure starch is fully hydrated. Refrigerate or freeze finished products for future use if desired.
