Natural oat groats are a wonderful grain that provides protein, are high in fiber and are heart healthy. Oat groats can be ground to make your own flour. These also make a great breakfast cereal. Oat groats are the whole grain used to make regular rolled oats and quick rolled oats. They have higher nuturient value than regular and quick rolled oats. This is a must have for your long term food storage.

Ingredients: Natural oat groats - hulled whole oats. This product is non-GMO.

Allergens: May contain traces of barley, rye, wheat, triticale.

Details

Natural oat groats are a great product to have on hand. These oats are chemical free. Natural oat groats make a great hot breakfast for those cold mornings.

Note: Due to elevation and/or temperature changes, buckets may be concave or convex upon arrival, normally this is not a problem. Buckets may be reshaped by removing lid, reshaping bucket and then replacing the lid. Product is not compromised since it is protected by the mylar bag.

Shelf life estimates are based on industry studies from sources deemed reputable. Since Rainy Day Foods has no control over individual storage practices, they must disclaim any liability or warranty for particular results.

Shelf Life: Should be stored in cool dark place- optimum condition is 60 degrees or less- for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store up to 20-25 years. Bulk products need to be repackaged for long term storage.

Nutritional Information	Directions: These are whole oats with only the outer husk removed. Oat groats may be cooked whole or ground into flour. Oatmeal is made by steaming and then rolling these whole groats. Stabilized, not for sprouting. For cereal, cook 45 minutes with 3/4 cups water and ¼ cup oat groats.
