3 cups raw rice
1 bell pepper
1 to 3 medium jalapeno peppers, chopped
1 stick butter
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 large can mushrooms, drained
3 cups chicken broth
Wash rice in separate bowl. To this add mushrooms, onion, bell pepper and jalapeno peppers. Line bottom of rice cooker with pats of butter. Pour rice mixture on top and then add broth. Start rice cooker.
For alternate dishes: 1 pound crawfish and 1 can of tomato soup instead of broth. When you do this do not drain mushrooms. Also browned ground meat or sausage can be added to rice mixture.
